Welcome to my first blog!

One Year Ago
After teaching high school art for 13 years, I decided to explore my visual voice and began my voyage as a full time professional artist. Colossians 3:17 says, "And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him." This is my mantra as I pursue the gifts God has given me to make visible what has not been seen before.

Some tangible successes for this year have been ArtPop Street Gallery,
http://www.artpopstreetgallery.com/index/#/charlotte-nc-2018/
participating in the Charlotte Uptown Gallery Crawl at Sage Salon and Studio
having my artwork on the cover of a book and ...
First time first place win at
https://www.artparty.fridayartsproject.org/2018-artwork/
where 2 of my pieces were on display at Dust-Off Brewing.

I am inviting you along on my artistic adventure.
My website is always growing with new works, and I love a good commission now and then.

Painting series that I continue to investigate are "Eye on the Sparrow" and "SEEN".
The "SEEN" series showcases vulnerable or overlooked souls due to mental illness, disability or skin color. There are many issues that cause someone to feel less than, and my desire is to spotlight the beauty and value of these precious ones. I hope this series is a catalyst for conversations and awareness of the isolation and loneliness caused by mental illness, physical disabilities and ethnicity.
Check out  https://www.evacrawfordart.com/gallery.html to see these works.

Upcoming show:
I'll have a few paintings at the
ARTS at the Trolley
Friday, December 7th, 6-9 pm
Charlotte Trolley Powerhouse Studio
1705 Camden Road | Charlotte, NC 28203

Thank you, and I hope to have exciting news about more exhibits soon!
